Export logs for a date range

A date range export packages several days of log files into one or more ZIP archives. Preparation continues after you leave the page, and the result is available from My exports.

  1. Open the relevant location, then its Archived Logs page.
  2. Select the Export a period tab.
  3. Choose the Start date and End date, both inclusive. The Last 7 complete days and Last 30 complete days shortcuts exclude the current day.
  4. Click Prepare export.
  5. Wait for confirmation that your request has been saved. You can then close the tab or continue using LogCentral.

To include several locations from the same organization, open My exports in the sidebar, then Export a date range. Choose the Sites to include and the dates. A request can include up to 100 sites and span up to 366 days, depending on which source archives are still available.

Open My exports in the organization’s sidebar. This page lists requests made by your account for that organization.

StatusWhat to do
QueuedYour request has been saved and is waiting for a preparation slot.
PreparingFollow progress; you can leave the page.
AvailableClick Download. If several parts are listed, download each part you need.
FailedRead the message and use Retry once the problem has been resolved.
CancelledCreate a new request if you still need the files.
ExpiredRequest another export of the date range, provided the source archives are still available.

You can Cancel a queued or preparing request. If status updates become temporarily unavailable, check My exports before creating another request.

The ZIP archives contain original files organized by location and day. Compressed files remain compressed; they are not merged into a single text file. Each ZIP can be opened independently.

The dates select archive days without filtering timestamps within individual log lines. Only files already archived when preparation runs are included. The current day may therefore be incomplete; files archived later require a new export.

To retrieve only lines matching text or a regular expression, use Search. Search criteria do not apply to date range exports.

Download the ZIP files before the expiry time shown on the export. Request history is kept for 7 days, but this does not mean the files remain downloadable for 7 days.

An expired export removes the prepared files without changing source log retention.

If no archives are found, check the sites and dates. If the export exceeds the allowed volume, select fewer days or sites. Your access to the selected sites is also checked when you download.

Audit logs record export creation, availability, cancellation, retries, failures and download link issuance, including the user, organization and selected sites. Issuing a link does not prove that the browser received the entire file.
