Meraki Import Page
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Meraki Import Page is a powerful bulk import wizard that automatically creates LogCentral locations from your Cisco Meraki networks. Instead of manually creating locations one by one, you can import multiple networks at once with automatic log routing configuration.

Requirements:
- Active Enterprise plan
- Cisco Meraki dashboard access
- Admin permissions in Meraki
How to Access
Section titled “How to Access”Navigate to Organizations → [Your Organization] → Meraki Import, or use the direct path:
/organizations/:orgId/meraki-import
You must first connect your Meraki account via OAuth in the Integrations page (/organizations/:orgId/integrations).
The Import Process
Section titled “The Import Process”The Meraki Import wizard follows these steps:
1. Connect to Meraki (OAuth)
Section titled “1. Connect to Meraki (OAuth)”If you haven’t already connected, you’ll be prompted to authorize LogCentral to access your Meraki dashboard. Visit the Organization Integrations page to connect your Meraki account using the “Connect Meraki” button.
2. Select Your Meraki Organization
Section titled “2. Select Your Meraki Organization”Choose which Meraki organization you want to import networks from.
3. Browse and Select Networks
Section titled “3. Browse and Select Networks”What You’ll See:
- List of your Meraki networks
- Checkboxes to select which networks to import
- Status indicators showing:
- Networks already imported as locations
- New networks available for import
Selection Options:
- Check individual networks you want to import
- Unchecked networks will be skipped during the import process
4. Review and Confirm
Section titled “4. Review and Confirm”Review your selected networks before starting the import. The page displays your selections and allows you to make final adjustments.
5. Import Networks
Section titled “5. Import Networks”Start the import process to create locations from your selected Meraki networks. The wizard provides progress updates and results as networks are imported.
After Import
Section titled “After Import”Once imported:
- Networks are created as LogCentral locations
- Logs automatically flow from Meraki to their respective locations
- Network names stay synchronized with Meraki
- You can manage each location individually in the Locations page
Tips & Best Practices
Section titled “Tips & Best Practices”- Review Before Importing: Check which networks are already imported to avoid duplicates
- Start Small: If you have many networks, consider importing a few at a time to test the process
- Check Status Indicators: Pay attention to the status markers showing which networks are new vs. already imported
- Monitor Results: Review the import results to ensure all selected networks were created successfully
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“Can’t connect Meraki”
- Verify your Meraki credentials
- Grant OAuth permissions when prompted in the Integrations page
- Check that you have admin access in Meraki
“No networks showing”
- Ensure your Meraki organization has configured networks
- Refresh your Meraki connection in the Integrations page
- Verify you’ve selected the correct Meraki organization
“Import fails”
- Check your location limit in your subscription
- Verify your Enterprise plan is active
- Review any error messages displayed during the import process
“No logs after import”
- Wait a few minutes for logs to start flowing
- Check Meraki syslog settings in your Meraki dashboard
- Verify the location is active in LogCentral
Managing Your Meraki Connection
Section titled “Managing Your Meraki Connection”Visit the Organization Integrations page to manage your Meraki connection:
- Connect Meraki: Start the OAuth authorization flow
- Disconnect: Revoke LogCentral’s access to your Meraki dashboard (doesn’t delete existing locations or data)
- View connection status and integration details
Related Features
Section titled “Related Features”Individual Network Integration: After importing, you can link additional locations to Meraki networks using the Meraki Network Integration page (/organizations/:orgId/locations/:locationId/meraki-integration). This allows you to:
- Connect a single location to a specific Meraki network
- Search and filter available networks
- View integration status
- Unlink networks when needed
